Safely in Phnom Penh

We hope to write a longer post about our trip soon but I wanted to put up a quick one letting everyone know that we arrived safely in Phnom Penh yesterday. The flights went well – even the 14 hour one – though the transfer at Hong Kong was the worst I’ve had in my life (more on that later).

Thank you all so much for your prayers and thoughts as we’ve made this change. We felt your prayers lifting us through the Hong Kong airport.

We were welcomed warmly at the airport by Phillip and Belen, along with their charming son Olivier. Arriving at our new home we found Ramy – our housekeeper – and her daughter Srey Nu. All of them gave us a wonderful welcome that made us feel at home.

In closing, we’ll be sharing more soon and on our first morning in the house we saw a rainbow!

I’m so glad that your flights went well! I’m sure Charlotte loves the big blue chair- and what better way to be welcomed than with your very own dog!

Beautiful and comforting that you were greeted by those individuals…what a wonderful welcoming. The rainbow, a powerful symbol indeed!!! Extra prayers were being said when we became aware that the events in Hong Kong had carried over into the International Airport. Yay, a family dog!!

Send our greetings to Ming Ramy and Srey Nou. Nicole tells us that you will be living in Derek and Leakana’s house; nice that you do not need to look for housing! and it comes with a dog too.

I’m so proud, I could cry. So proud because I have dreamed of doing what you are!

Amen! Thanks for letting us know you arrived safely as the airport has been in the news lately here for such unrest and turmoil:(
The rainbow was surely the sign of His hand in guidance and assurance. Amen!
